(AP) - Facebook beat Google as the No. 1 most-visited site in the United States in 2010, according to web analytics firm Hitwise.
How to play on Facebook and its Web site of the former champion? And can Google a comeback in 2011 and beyond?
Let us by admitting that the Hitwise data do not represent the whole truth to begin with. For starters, Hitwise measures only visitors in the United States. What's more, Hitwise measures Web site domain: If a company-owned YouTube Analytics was included in his calculations, the Google network sites outrank the Facebook features.
However, a tectonic shift at work here: Facebook, once dismissed as just another social networking craze, Google apparently discovered vulnerabilities.
