Lindsay Berman remembers the time, not too long ago, when the Washington Capitals are the hottest team in the area. But she is quick to remind people that it was long for the Caps all his life roots.

ARUNDEL
It is easy to believe it, even as Odenton home and Arundel High graduate has spent most of his 22 years in the skate their way out of the mites and squirts in Division 1 college, and now a professional concert with the Boston Blades of the Canadian Women's Hockey League.

In some ways has not changed much since he first took the sport as a seven-year-old member of the Howard County Huskies. Early in practice. Packed on weekends. Many travel.

For years it was Berman and her father, Rick, commuting to and from games and practices in the Washington area, and even the head of the airport to the team in Chicago to participate. College coaches took note, and she has earned enough recognition to land a full scholarship at Northeastern University in Boston Hockey children.

"At the time, she was the best players in his age group in the country, " said Kush Sidhu, who was trained as a member of the Washington Pride Berman Junior Hockey team in Rockville. "It has always been skilled and fun team-mates and fun coach. It is definitely a competitor and very talented."

Although there Sidhu prepares for the next level of hockey, it was difficult enough at first, with 06:00 of the clock practice for a team that is in the midst of renovation. But Berman will go to 135 games, scoring 23 goals and earning praise versatility.
