It is probably fair to say that without Thomas Edison, technology - and life in general - as we know it would be completely different. From bulb to the phonograph, camera, and hundreds of patents for other inventions of Edison shaped our world.
And today, February 11, inventor and scientist held homepage of Google Doodle specials for what would be his 164th birthday.
Doodle presents an animated sequences, some of the above inventions, like the light bulb and a kind of writing hum of the machine. A handful of sketches Edison-inspired doodles are just a fraction of the patents of the inventor.
Earlier this week Google has celebrated the anniversary of Jules Verne with interactive doodle.
